Meet Choir Director/Church Organist Claudia Kachmarik

My name is Claudia Kachmarik and I am your new organist/choir director.

January 2015 will see me entering my thirty-fifth year of church music ministry. It has been a wonderful and varied journey serving in the Presbyterian, Methodist, American Baptist, and United Congregational churches. I am a member of the American Guild of Organists and the American Handbell Association and currently sing with the Madrigal Choir of Binghamton.

My husband Steve and I own and operate The 1810 Juliand House Bed and Breakfast in Greene, NY. The house was built by a French sea captain, Joseph Juliand. Steve is the chief cook and maintenance person and I get to do all those fun jobs that keep a house in good working order. We recently adopted beautiful beagle, Sadie, to be a companion to our other beagle, Sam. Sadie is a rescue and we are so happy to have her living with us. She is around five years old but still enough of a puppy to keep us on our toes.

We have two grown sons. Scott lives in Boston and is a professional soccer referee as well as working in television as a news writer. Shaun and Kasey live in Johnson City and have two Children, Delilah who just turned three and Isiah who is two months old. We have a very full life with the two grandchildren, a new dog and a new church full of new opportunities.

I look forward to developing the choir and getting to know you all.

Thank You for your warm welcome , it makes me feel right a t home.
